Cancellation Policy

The West Yorkshire Sling Library is a support service and here to help. We work with babies and try to be as flexible as possible – we understand schedules can change and unforeseen circumstances can arise. We have to balance the needs of our visiting families but also must ensure we can accommodate everyone who’d like to book to come and see us, as well as the needs of our staff, childcare and overheads, so we kindly request adherence to our cancellation policy.

1. Cancellation Notice:

Clients must notify us of cancellations or appointment changes at least 24 hours in advance. To cancel or reschedule, please use our booking site at https://WYSL.as.me

2. Late Cancellations:

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time will incur a 50% charge of the scheduled service cost. This fee compensates our team for the time that was set aside specifically for you. We will naturally waive this fee in full if we are able to fill your appointment slot with another family. You are always welcome to reschedule your appointment.

3. No-shows:

Failing to show up for your scheduled appointment without prior notification will result in a 100% charge of the scheduled service cost. Repeated no-shows or excessively late attendance may result in having to prepay for future services or lead to an inability to book future appointments.

4. Late Arrivals:

We understand delays can happen. We try our best to accommodate everyone and always build in time between booked appointments to help families using our service. If you are more than 20 minutes late we may be forced to ask you to reschedule, as we cannot relay the information needed safely in the time we have, or your appointment may run into the next booked family. If we can move or accommodate your session, we will – we are here to help – but it may not always be possible.
We may decide to treat lateness as a late cancellation and apply the applicable fee. This ensures we can provide the best service to you and our other families.

5. Exceptions:

We know that babies can be unpredictable and that life gets in the ways! We recognise that emergencies and special circumstances can occur. Exceptions to this policy are made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of staff at The West Yorkshire Sling Library, but cannot be relied upon, as we must assess the needs of all the families wanting to access the service, and the impact the cancellation or no-show has had on our staff levels and business overheads.

6. Refunds:

Cancellation fees and deposits are non-refundable except in the case of cancellations instigated by us.
