The sling library is a much larger organisation than it was in the beginning, when it was started by Nicola in her living room in Farsley. However, by popular demand, we still hold some drop in sessions at the sling library house in Farsley each month.
So yes, it’s a private home, one that has been stuffed full of slings and carriers and open to those needing help with them for over ten years. We’re used to seeing babies, toddlers, siblings, and families of all types pass through our doors. There are usually carriers drying on the line and the people of Farsley are well used to influxes of carried babies on the town street. There are some lovely cafes, parks and shops nearby.
The Sling Library House Farsley has some steps to access. We can usually give you a lift in with a pram if you shout. If steps are a problem for you please contact us to arrange alternative access. There is free parking all around but please consider our neighbours and do not park in the turning circle or the cul de sac. Farsley is well served by regular bus routes and the nearest train station is New Pudsey.
